Christian Overdeput (°1970, Belgium) has studied interior architecture at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts (KASK) in Ghent.

After a few architectural projects, some individual, other in collaboration, he has founded a154, an office for architecture, interior, and design. Since the start in 1998, a154 has evolved to an interdisciplinary office with 20 employees.

Very early on, he develops a taste for photography by making photo reportages of architectural projects and voyages, often his own. This taste turns into documentary work on human issues and reporting for different NGOs. Besides his documentary work, he has undertaken a few more personal projects of everyday life in his homeland Belgium.

 This multidisciplinary approach is both inspiring and liberating: it allows to select projects carefully, and to take time to work out these projects.

Christian has been teaching at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts (KASK) in Ghent since 2005.
